The state of our roads, pavements and footpaths leaves a lot be desired. 

I will seek to ensure that we receive our share of any budget and that any repairs are carried out with a mind to minimsing disruption. 

I will seek to enure that bus companies report on and improve on their reliability statistics. 

I will continue my work to see that the range and frequency of rail services to our area improves and that services are accessible and meet the needs of leisure and business. 

I believe in empowering individuals and groups that want to make a difference to their environment. New initiatives will be unveiled shortly and I hope to expand on these in the coming years.

As a parent and as someone who has acted as chair of governors of the local primary school I am only too aware of the pressures facing our schools and those who attend and work there. 

I will seek to see that our schools receie good central services and that the needs of all children are met. Greater provision of specialist services helps all of our children making each environment focussed on the needs of those attending. 

I will seek to see that services are user led. Support independence and family and friends that provide support. 

I will pressure to see that referrals are dealt with quickly and professionally and that individuals are kept informed at every stage of the process. 

I will look to see that there are adequate services and facilities locally to keep pace with the demand, particularly in response to pressures on dementia based services. 

I will campaign to see that consultation takes place ahead of any final submission of proposals. I will seek to encourage the consideration of cross-border solutions which may investigate the creation of a unitary authority which could include areas such as Lichfield and Tamworth.
